Hearing Aid Maintenance Clinics

Volunteering at Our Clinics

Could you spare some time to join us and make a real difference to people with a hearing loss?

We are looking for volunteers to help in our hearing aid aftercare clinics, held at venues across Kent.

Rather than having to go to their main hospital or hearing aid provider, our clinics are conveniently located in local towns, villages, and communities. We provide batteries, new tubing, and advice on maintenance to help our clients hear better again, as well information about the services HI Kent have to offer.

Our clinics are free of charge, which is made possible by our amazing team of Volunteers.

Full training is provided so no experience is necessary, although manual dexterity, a friendly and caring disposition, and a willingness to learn is important. We would love to welcome you to our friendly team.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people. A DBS check will be necessary and will be paid for by HI Kent.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference to our charity and the people we support.

If interested please email enquiries@hikent.org.uk, call 01622 691151,or text 07939 593030. Let us know which part of Kent you are from and we will put you in touch with a Volunteer Co-ordinator for that area.

"I have been a volunteer for seven years now and really enjoy it. I get such satisfaction knowing that I’ve helped someone and hopefully given them the pleasure of hearing a little better. Volunteering has given me a lot of confidence. When I began I was so nervous – now I think to myself, this person is putting their trust in me."
