Study looking at social inclusion of deaf young people

Amy is a Trainee Educational Psychologist on placement in Wolverhampton Educational Psychology Service alongside being a student at the University of Nottingham.

 As part of her studies, she is conducting research into deaf young peoples’ experiences and perceptions of social inclusion. She is looking to recruit 3-6 participants who identify as deaf, use verbal communication and are currently attending a post-16 setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION – FUNDRAISING OFFICER

JOB TITLE: Fundraising Officer – 1 Year Contract (initially)

 

BASED: Any Hi Kent premises as required

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Operating Officer

 

RESPONSIBLE FOR:  N/A

 

HOURS OF WORK: 14 hours per week with flexibility

 

RATE OF PAY: To be discussed – to include Health Insurance with Benenden Healthcare

 

Job Summary: Organisation of HI Kent Fundraising Activities

 

DUTIES

 

  • Running of established quiz events – currently 6 per annum across Kent. This will involve working some evenings and weekends

 

  • Running of fundraising meals

 

  • Promotion of fundraising events

 

  • Participation in HI Kent funding meetings

 

  • Promotion and management of the HI Kent Lottery

 

  • Sale of fundraising goods including second hand items on Ebay

 

  • Generation and implementation of new fundraising ideas

 

  • Such other duties as maybe required by the Chief Operating Officer

 

  • Participate in team meetings, fundraising and publicity events to promote Hi Kent’s services
